Your animal, painted

Send three or four photographs of your animal and I will come back with a price, a size and a date. You approve a small painted study before anything else is started, and nothing is owed until you do.

How it goes

Four steps

You send the photographs

As many as you have. The ones that caught the set of the head are worth more than the sharp ones. Say what size you are after and where it will hang.

You get a price and a date

Within a day or two, by email: a fixed price, a size, and a week it will be finished by. Nothing is started until you say yes.

You approve a small study

A quick painted study of the head, photographed and sent to you. If it is not them, it gets redone before any full surface is touched. A third of the price is due here.

04

It is made, and posted

The finished piece, signed and dated on the reverse. The balance is due on approval, and it goes in the post the next working day.

The terms, plainly

Lead time: 4–6 weeks from approval
Deposit: A third at the study stage
Balance: On approval, before it is posted
You own: The original itself — not a print of one
If it is not right: The study is redone, or you walk away
Copies: None made. It is yours alone

A commission is never printed as an edition afterwards. That is the point of commissioning one.
